Rights Respecting Schools Bronze Award

We have achieved the Rights Respecting Schools Bronze award which recognises the start that we have made in teaching children about United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and their rights and responsibilities. Well done to everyone for achieving this award, especially Miss Churchill, who is leading the Rights Respecting Schools initiative.

Mayor of Hillingdon’s Visit

The Mayor of Hillingdon (Cllr Barnes) visited our school on Tuesday 18th May 2021 to find out about our special connection to the ANZACs. “We showed the Mayor the ANZAC garden,” Pearl (Year 1 Redwood class). “I told the Mayor about the school values,” Tyler (Year 1 Redwood class).

Remembrance Day

To commemorate Remembrance Day we decorated classrooms and the playground with poppies and held a 2 minute silence outside altogether. Well done to all of the children for observing the silence so respectfully. “It is important to remember the people that have died to help us,” Aran (Year 2 Elder class).
